South Australia’s consumer watchdog has reminded electrical contractors to ensure they are licensed, after a company director was fined $5000 and ordered to pay $800 in prosecution costs for aiding and abetting a company to conduct business as an electrical contractor without a licence.
An Adelaide duo who bought cars from interstate auctions and sold them under false pretences have been fined a total of more than $24,000 and ordered to repay nearly $4000 to consumers for numerous breaches of South Australia’s second-hand vehicle dealer laws.
The South Australian Government has begun introducing digital passes and licences. This means that South Australians can carry selected Government issued passes and licences on an Apple or Android smart phone or tablet device.
